Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the ToolSense marketing website at toolsense.io. The ToolSense platform — the application and your account data at my.toolsense.io — is covered by a separate platform privacy policy.

Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you visit, our servers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the referring URL. This data is needed to deliver the site reliably and to detect and defend against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Access logs are retained for a limited period.

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics — Vercel Web Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, and Ahrefs Web Analytics — to understand how the website is used and to monitor its performance. These tools set no cookies, store nothing on your device, and do not track you across other websites. The data is aggregated and anonymised and does not identify you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you may object at any time (see 'Your rights').

Beyond what is strictly necessary, we only set cookies and load tracking services with your consent, which you give through our cookie banner. This covers the embedded HubSpot demo-booking calendar and the Google Ads tag, which measures the performance of our advertising. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). When you book a demo or submit a form, we process the details you provide (such as your name, email address, company, and message) to respond to your request and to initiate a possible business relationship. These forms are provided by HubSpot. The legal basis is your consent and the steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).

Some of our providers process data outside the EU/EEA — notably Vercel (USA), Ahrefs (Singapore), and Google. Where this happens, the transfer is safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) and, where applicable, the providers' certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, together with appropriate technical measures.

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for: server access logs for a limited period for security, analytics data in aggregated and anonymised form, and consent-based data until you withdraw your consent. We delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed.

If you believe our processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Vienna.
