TIP-TOP Dienstleistungen uses ToolSense to make asset operations more transparent, faster to document, and easier to manage. This customer story focuses on the operational change: cleaner asset data, quicker issue handling, and maintenance workflows that teams can follow in daily work.
TIP-TOP Dienstleistungen is a large mid-market German cleaning company operating predominantly in the automotive industry across Saxony and Thuringia. Niels Pfaff is the CEO. The business spans more than 3,500 employees across 22 branch offices and 30+ sites, and runs on an ongoing digitalisation programme that already covers around 80% of its administrative processes paperless.
Why digitalisation is non-negotiable
For Niels, digitalisation isn’t a tech project, it’s survival. Skilled-labour shortages mean processes have to be efficient end-to-end, including the admin and the documentation. TIP-TOP has spent six years moving finance, payroll and downstream processes off paper, and ToolSense is part of that same trajectory for asset management.
From accounting tool to operations backbone
TIP-TOP first connected with ToolSense through its industry software (BSS) and used it to improve the accounting-side asset register, the default capabilities of Business Central and the industry suite weren’t giving the team what they needed. From there, the platform grew into a broader operations and maintenance backbone, with the personal relationship deepening at a trade-show floor in Amsterdam.
Skilled-labour shortages mean every process has to be designed end-to-end. We can’t keep printing 42 receipts to back up one invoice, that’s not the future. Workflows have to flow, with high acceptance at every level.
