BLITZBLANK uses ToolSense as a manufacturer-independent platform for cleaning-machine management, connecting mixed machine fleets, IoT data and digital processes in one place.
BLITZBLANK is a third-generation, family-run cleaning company with more than 85 years of history. Thomas Dannhof works in business development and brought a management-consulting background into the company's innovation work.
A decentralized machine park
Before ToolSense, BLITZBLANK's machine management was highly decentralized. Object managers sourced machines where they thought it made sense, which created a mixed fleet across machine types, manufacturers and applications. The company wanted to keep that flexibility without becoming dependent on a single manufacturer platform.
ToolSense gave BLITZBLANK a way to cover many machine types and manufacturers in one asset management system.
The business case
Thomas frames the economic impact in two layers. First, property managers save time because manual coordination and searching are reduced. Second, BLITZBLANK expected machine costs to fall by 10 to 15 percent per year once the process matured.
The early phase required extra effort and investment, but the expectation was clear: the return on investment should arrive within one to two years.
The main reason was manufacturer independence. We wanted a platform where we could cover all possible machines and all possible manufacturers with one system.

A partner for digitalization
The appeal was not only software, but the ability to work with ToolSense on ideas for the industry. Thomas wanted a partner open enough to shape workflows together, instead of adopting a finished manufacturer platform with fixed assumptions.
For BLITZBLANK, digitization means more than a head-office billing system. It means collecting and using data from the operating business, supporting employees, reducing manual work and preparing the cleaning industry for automation, robotics and more paperless processes.
