The customer base skews to large corporates, government and semi-government entities. Taher Jhanjharya leads finance and technology as Group CFO; Samir Mustafa heads the Command and Support Centre.
A problem found by the young-leaders programme
EFS runs an internal Young Leaders Programme where new joiners identify business challenges and propose ideas. One year, a team came back with the same conclusion executives had been circling: tool and equipment management wasn’t efficient. Emails ran back and forth between sites trying to track equipment down; asset registration sat in finance while operational tools had no system at all.
Taher took the brief and searched the market. ToolSense came up first, and the conversation that followed was a structured walk-through of how the platform handled exactly that problem.
One operational asset record across 21 countries
ToolSense gave EFS a real asset management layer for its operational tools and equipment, separate from the finance asset register, and with workflows that work the way operations actually runs: requests on a system, not in someone’s inbox; visibility on where every piece of kit is; a single audit trail across every site.
Asset register lived in finance. Operational tools had no system at all. Sites emailed each other to find a machine. That was the inefficiency we needed to fix.
