Leithäusl uses ToolSense to make asset operations more transparent, faster to document, and easier to manage. This customer story focuses on the operational change: cleaner asset data, quicker issue handling, and maintenance workflows that teams can follow in daily work.
Leithäusl is an Austrian mid-market civil-engineering construction company, road building, paving, sewerage and pipeline work. Andreas Hüttner is Head of Business Administration, with fifteen years inside the business covering machines and vehicles, procurement, maintenance, asset disposal, quality management and apprentice training.
Almost-chosen, then rebooted with ToolSense
Leithäusl had been searching for fleet-management software for some time and was deep into evaluation with another supplier when ToolSense reached out. The team rebooted the project, reviewed ToolSense against the previous shortlist, and chose to start over with the platform that better fit the actual operation.
From paper forms to a single data model
Pre-ToolSense, Andreas dealt with “countless paper forms, endless Excel lists, scattered master-data records.” Reconciling those data sets to get to one truthful picture was its own job. During the ToolSense pilot, the team rebuilt their processes from first principles, questioning every workflow, dropping what wasn’t needed, and arrived at a single, unified data model where every staff member sees the same asset record.
Measured savings from the pilot
The written Leithäusl success story measured four workflows before and after ToolSense. Delivery-note handling fell from 46 to 12 hours per year, repair and maintenance documentation from 120 to 30 hours, safety inspections from 95 to 20 hours, and machine handover/check-in protocols from about 180 to 40 hours. In total, the team identified €22,500 in annual savings and 609 working hours freed up, equal to about 76 workdays.
In the pilot we questioned every process. We cut a lot, kept what mattered, and ended up with one shared data model that the whole team works from.
