Dussmann Hungary uses ToolSense to make asset operations more transparent, faster to document, and easier to manage. This customer story focuses on the operational change: cleaner asset data, quicker issue handling, and maintenance workflows that teams can follow in daily work.

• The challenges of asset management and security checks before the implementation of ToolSense. • The vision of the partnership between Dussmann and ToolSense and how it can save time and money. • They also discuss the status quo and the future of digitalization in facility management.

Dussmann has operated in Hungary since 1991, running four service lines, soft FM, hard FM, catering and security, with more than 1,300 employees. Gábor Facskó is Head of Soft Facility Management Services, joining the FM company just over two years ago and now leading the digital push for the soft-FM operation.

Existing processes, scattered across systems

Asset management, safety checks and yearly inventories all existed before ToolSense, but they lived in separate systems. Asset booking in one tool, inspections in another, reporting compiled by hand. Pulling a single view of cost per asset, or running a clean year-end audit, took more time than the team could justify.

The Dussmann group operates in 14 countries and routinely shares solutions across borders. ToolSense came through that internal network, recommended by another Dussmann country, then trialled in Hungary.

One complex system instead of several light ones

What sold Gábor wasn’t any single feature, it was the breadth. ToolSense brought asset booking, preventive maintenance reminders, service-cost tracking and yearly checks into one place. Reports that previously took days to assemble now come out of the platform at site level, with the cost data attached, so management decisions stop being made on rough estimates.

We tried to find one complex system that could handle all the processes and data. After testing ToolSense we saw it can summarise information from assets, maintenance costs, yearly checks, everything in one place.

Looking ahead

Gábor’s long-term plan: extend ToolSense from soft FM into the other Dussmann divisions in Hungary, hard FM, catering, security, so the single complex system replaces the patchwork everywhere.
